What is a “Fan Experience?”

While the focus of the Galactic Championship is on the game of Star Wars™: Unlimited itself, there may come a point when you need a break from all the gaming. Or, perhaps you’re attending the Galactic Championship alongside a player in the main tournament and have little experience with the game yourself. In either case, that’s where the fan experiences come in!

These experiences cover a wide range of activities, all of them having something to do with Star Wars: Unlimited. For example, newcomers can kick-start their collection at Bulk for Beginners, fans can meet the game’s artists at the Artist Alley, and anyone looking to play something other than a trading card game can check a board game out from the Asmodee Game Library. You can take photos with some of your favorite Star Wars characters, complete a pin passport, check out some awesome panels hosted by various content creators and FFG staff members, and more!

No matter what you’re here for, you’ll always have something to do!

I’m Bringing My Family to the Event. What Sort of Things Can They Do?

First, hello to your family! Second, don’t worry, there’s plenty of things for your family—including kids—to do at the Galactic Championship.

For starters, we have the Family Zone, where all sorts of fun activities take place. The Zone is split into several different sections, each with something different to do. For example, kids can get temporary tattoos, express themselves with coloring sheets, do some painting in the Paint & Take area, kick back and relax with some soft seating, and build and play with Star Wars Lego sets at the Lego Tables. The Family Zone is located in the Connect space.

The Beginner Zone is the perfect place for anyone looking to get into Star Wars: Unlimited. We’ll have instructors ready to help guide new players through their first game, ensuring that everyone has lots of fun. Of course, parents are welcome to sit in and learn alongside their kids!

And finally, families are more than welcome to partake in the fan experiences we talked about in the above section. No matter how involved you are in the main tournament (if at all), we want everyone in attendance to have a great time at the Galactic Championship!

There’s So Much Going On! Is There Anywhere I Can Step Away for a Break?

Yes there is! Located on one side of the Connect space is the Chill Zone, a dedicated area where attendees can lounge on bean bags, couches, and other comfy seating options. We recognize that there are a lot of moving parts to the Galactic Championship, hence why we wanted to provide a place for folks to kick back, relax, and recuperate between activities. You can even watch the broadcast of the main tournament here!

If all the noise and excitement get to be overwhelming and you need to duck away for a bit, we have also partnered with Calm Passion to set up a Sensory Room separate from the hustle and bustle of the convention. Located in the Venetian’s ballrooms (separate from Expo Halls A and B), this room provides a peaceful, quiet space to help you reset.

Whether you just need to decompress for a few minutes, relax between tournament rounds, or sit around and vibe for most of the afternoon, the Chill Zone and Sensory Room are here to help you get away from it all for as long as you need.
