When Does the Main Tournament Take Place?
The Galactic Championship main tournament is split across all three days of the event: Friday is Day 1 of the tournament, Saturday is Day 2, and Sunday is Day 3. All three days utilize the Premier format with best-of-three rounds. All games for the main tournament take place in Hall A, also known as the Compete area.
The first round of Day 1 of the Galactic Championship tournament begins at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 25th. The day plays out over 8 Swiss rounds, finishing up around 8:30 PM (with a break for lunch partway through the day). If you manage to win at least 18 of the possible 24 match points, you’ll advance to Day 2! If not, then you’ll be eliminated from the tournament, which means you can spend the rest of the weekend participating in side events, engaging in bonus experiences, and other fun activities.
Day 2 starts at the same time as Day 1 and has the same number of Swiss rounds. If you played in Day 1, your tournament record resets at the start of Day 2, which means everyone participating at this point is doing so at an even playing field. Just like Day 1, you’ll need at least 18 match points to progress into Day 3, so be sure to give it your all!
Day 3 is where things shake up a bit. The first round of Swiss starts at 10:00 AM, just like the previous two days. However, this time, your match record carries over from the previous day, and at the end of three Swiss rounds, the tournament cuts to a Top 8 bracket based on everyone’s records. The elimination rounds start in the afternoon, with the tournament wrapping up around 6:30 PM, when we crown the Galactic Champion!
What Prizes Can I Win from the Main Tournament?
On Days 1 and 2 of the main tournament, you can earn all sorts of awesome prizes based off the match points you earn throughout that day. You’ll also earn prize tickets for the prize wall based on your score for the day.
On Day 3, you’ll earn prizes based on your final placement in the tournament, with unique prizes starting at the Top 64 and moving up from there.

What is the Galactic Open, and When Does It Take Place?
The Galactic Open is a side tournament that takes place during the Galactic Championship event. If the Galactic Championship main tournament is considered the final tournament of Season 0 of Star Wars: Unlimited Organized Play, then the Galactic Open can be considered the first tournament of Season 1!
This is an open event in which anyone of eligible age (13+) can participate. Like the main tournament, the Galactic Open utilizes the Premier format with best-of-three rounds. Registration for the Galactic Open begins at 9:00 PM on Friday, July 25, after the conclusion of Day 1 for the main tournament. Once open, you can register for the tournament by modifying your registration.
The Galactic Open takes place over two days and is held in Hall A, also known as the Compete area. Day 1 starts at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, and consists of nine Swiss rounds, concluding around 9:45 PM that evening. If you earn at least 21 match points throughout those nine rounds, then you advance to Day 2.
Day 2 begins at 10:00 AM on Sunday. Your record carries over from Day 1, and after two more rounds of Swiss, there will be a cut to the Top 8. By just after 5 PM, we’ll have crowned a Galactic Open champion!
What Prizes Can I Win from the Galactic Open?
There are two things you can earn in the Galactic Open: prize wall tickets, and qualifier points towards the 2026 Galactic Championship event. The exact amount of each that you earn will depend on your final placement, so be sure to give it your all!
